I'm in the process of drawing a portrait of Kariann with a very different approach. She's really into fantasy so her mother came up with the idea of putting her head on a fantasy figure. It's been really fun to do! I've been wanting to add a touch of fantasy art to some of my drawings, so I guess this is a start. I can't help smiling when I took at it. I still have a way to go, but so far I'm pleased with it.

Completed Frankie & Sophie

While getting through an episode of pneumonia and bronchitis, I finished Frankie and Sophie. The finished portrait is beautiful in my humble opinion. Hopefully in the clients opinion too. She hasn't seen it up close and personal yet, but has been following along on the work in progress page on my website. I'm looking forward to her seeing the real thing. That's always exciting.

Frankie & Sophie

Frankie's (Chocolate Lab) nose has proven to be a pain in the patootie. The area under her nose was hard to see in the photograph, so I was kind of doing it blindly looking at my own dog's nose and getting information from the client. Frankie is 13 years old, so she's greying some and boy does she have personality! My goal was/is to capture that. I think it's there! Sophie, the little dog, has lots of colors, even though she appears to be white, she's pretty colorful. I think she's a sweetie!

Studio Girls and Visions

Here's a photo of me and my "Apprentice", granddaughter, Sweetie Keely, doing what we do best. Also had to add my Vision board.
